Koa Siu is returning to Hawai'i (he's been residing and working in Sydney) to become worship and music director at Pacific Rim Christian College, now a consortium of colleges with locations in Oregon, Tokyo, Myanmar and Taiwan (with more planned for the Philippines and Okinawa). Koa, son of veteran performers Leon and Malia, is a former Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, and has two kids, Kekoa and Kalea, with wife Sarah. He's a grad of PacRim — so it's a glorious homecoming.

The 2008 Hoku ceremony brought a dream come true for Hawaii artist Koa Siu, “I have always believed that these songs were made to touch hearts deeply, to bring hope and healing—now they can reach so many more people! I’m so honored and excited”, Koa said. In celebration, Koa has released new radio-mixes of several songs, including several for free download from his website: www.koamusic.net. Koa is currently studying in Australia and so regretfully could not be present to receive his Hoku in person. But there will be a FREE PARTY, open to the public, to celebrate this special honor! Koa will be in town for a special one-night-only celebration concert Monday, June 30th, 5:30-7:30pm at Tropical Smoothie Café in the Hawaiki Tower (88 Piikoi St., across from Ala Moana)—DON’T MISS IT!
